Officially Cheese Heads

Hey everyone, sorry about the hiatus from the blog. We got lazy/uncreative/lost to Sam and Wooyoung. visit their blog at http://archibald533.wordpress.com it’s pretty funny.

Onwards, our hard cheese making kit has just arrived in the mail. Our first offering to the dairy gods will be two pounds of Gouda. Unfortunately it takes ‘several’ months to set and harden. Probably should have gotten the soft cheese making kit… This Saturday, the Bronson fourth floor kitchen will have new owners with the cheese making amateur extraordinaries Alex and Jake.

We will definitely have pics up and plenty of stories from this adventure coming soon.

Challenge for the Day

Hey everybody Alex here.

Thanks for stopping by, so this is just the beginning, but we already have great comments and people stopping by so keep coming back. I just wanted to elaborate on today’s advice “talk to a stranger”. It was inspired by our meeting with some fine strangers last night who we are now proud to call friends, its Facebook official too.

This just sparked the idea that there are so many people at Brown, or where ever you are, that you see everyday and you’ve never talked to. We want to challenge everyone to just say hi, or engage in conversation with someone for the brave ones reading this. This is always a good day to spread joy and make for a great day.

If you didn’t do it today, do it tomorrow and comment your stories.

Those of you who know Alex and me probably think that we’re pretty decent guys.  I’m pleased to inform you, however, that with the advent of this blog we’ve devolved into a pair of unscrupulous bastards.

You may find yourself murmuring, “Why, Jake?  And more importantly, what does this mean for my favorite blog, Archibald 524?”

The answers to your questions go hand in hand.  The reason is hits.  We want them.  Long story short, we made a bet, and the more hits we get, the more likely we are to win a big-ass bottle of Mango Odwalla, whose possible acquisition and subsequent consumption were the impetus for Archibald 524′s creation.

Which leads to the ramifications for this blog.  For us, the value of a BAB of Odwalla exceeds that of our collective integrity.  Tell us what you want, and we’ll seriously consider sacrificing our health/morality to make it happen.  That includes dares, challenges, photos, videos, material procurement – we’re slaves to the digital masses.  That includes you.  So hit this blog and tell your friends.  Then sit back and watch the fun.
